Ginger Myrick Paperbacks!! (plus a Valentine special on El Rey-Kindle version)

healer cover final copy 2Yippee! Finally they’re here! It took two months of mind-bending formating and multiple uploads of bookcover files–with ever so slightly varying degrees of color–to get it done, but it is now official. The paperback versions of El Rey, The Welsh Healer, and The Converso (English and Spanish editions) are now available for purchase through Amazon and its affiliates. You can find the links for both Kindle and paperbacks here along with discount codes for paperbacks of El Rey and The Welsh Healer purchased through the links on the book page of this site. Now allow me to go over a few specifics with you.

The transfer of files from electronic to physical versions of the books, although the exact files with the same word counts, affected the pages counts a bit. The estimated pages currently listed on Amazon translate to a bit more for the paperbacks, but let me reiterate; it is the SAME book. Nothing has been added or taken away. The Welsh Healer turned out to be 374 click to view The Converso at Amazonpages, El Rey-596, and The Converso-50. The changes in the covers were also deemed necessary. They are basically the same images, but as you can imagine, a bookcover designed to be seen on a small black and white screen or meant to stand out on a page among multiple other bookcovers can look a bit obnoxious when it’s sitting in front of you in all of it’s 5.25 x 8″ glory. It was a painstaking process, but the end result was well worth the effort.

Then, unfortunately, there is the matter of pricing, which was the reason I was so averse to signing the books up for the print option in the first place. Because of contractual issues concerning shipping logistics, expanded distribution, and other manufacturing considerations, there is a minimum list price an author can charge for her titles to balance the production costs. I have tried to keep mine as low as possible and can even offer a $2 discount for El Rey and a $1 discount for The Welsh Healer paperbacks purchased through the link on this website. Simply click on the ‘Buy Paperback’ links (on the ‘Books by Ginger Myrick’ page under their respective covers) and apply the code at check-out. I hope the discount will make the cost more appealing. After El Rey paperback all, my whole objective behind writing the books was for people to read them.

And for your general information, the paperback links on this website take you directly to CreateSpace, the actual book manufacturer. It is a division of Amazon and follows the same procedural guidelines for doing business. Although you will have to set up a separate account, it is completely secure as far as submitting payment and requesting refunds if you are not satisfied with your order.

I have received a few requests for signed copies and am still trying to ascertain the best way to go about it. As soon as I get that all worked out, I will certainly let you know.

As for the Valentine sale, it is for the Kindle version of El Rey: A Novel of Renaissance Iberia. From today until February 16th I will reduce the price by half. That means you can pick up over 500 pages of quality storytelling for just $2.99. El Rey has a combined rating of over 4.5 stars on Amazon and Goodreads.  Just click on any part of this paragraph to get to the product page on Amazon where you can preview the first 6 chapters for free on the ‘click to look inside’ feature.

As ever, thank you for your interest. It is much appreciated and the reason I continue to write.
